The apse vault

Antonio Paganino (Bologna, second half of the 16th century). In the arches of the apse and on the choir walls the perspective backgrounds circumscribe two angels: around they are represented cherubs, male and female figures, garlands of flowers, monochrome cartouches, masks and adorned with grotesques.
