The Assembly Rooms in Charlton was built in 1881. It is constructed in a Jacobean Revival style in red brick with terracotta tiles and stone detailing. Its was funded by the wealthy benefactor Sir Spencer Maryon-Wilson, who lived in nearby Charlton House, a Grade I listed building.

The Assembly Rooms was listed Grade II in 2018.
