Chen Ping was born in 1960 in Beijing. In 1984, he graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts, majoring in Chinese Painting, and stayed in school as a teacher. Now he is vice president, professor, graduate tutor and doctoral tutor of the Chinese Painting Academy of the Central Academy of Fine Arts. Member of Chinese Artists Association, Chinese Calligraphers Association and Chinese Poetry Society. His works have participated in many national art exhibitions and held individual art exhibitions. He has published dozens of collections of personal paintings, calligraphy, seal carvings and poems, and compiled two kinds of Zaju operas: Painting Dreams, Poetry Soul and Huangshan Ji.
