On June 1st, 1815, Marshal Louis Alexandre Berthier fell to death from a window at the New Residence. He was married to a niece of King Max Joseph and had served Napoleon as general and minister of war.
Already prior to Napoleon's deposition, he allied with the King of France. It remains unclear until today whether the defenestration was an accident, suicide, or even caused by another person.
