The Bathing Suite at Wroxeter Roman City

The bathhouse at Wroxeter is large and impressive. This example is of a design which could be found in other towns across the north-western provinces of the Roman Empire. Due to the cooler climate an open-air exercise yard found in the Mediterranean was not appropriate- so instead the baths basilica were provided.
