The Duomo's stained-glass window V37 is located along the northern flank and was made in 1947 by Giovanni Buffa, winner of the competition held in 1939. In a scenographic sense, the window shows the struggle between good and evil, in which the battle is led by the Archangel Michael, countering Lucifer on the front line. Characterised by a bright colouring and breaking sensitively with the Duomo's dominating style of glass art, stained-glass window 37 is a triumph of angels and bodies in contrast, glorified by the filtering light that profiles the characters in the manner of German Expressionism.
