The battle of Goito (May 30th 1848)

While the Piedmontese troops were engaged in the Peschiera siege, Radetsky received reinforcements and went on the offensive. The Austrian advance on the Mincio, which had been slowed down by the Tuscan volunteers' resistance in Curtatone and Montanara the previous day, was halted at the battle of Goito on May 30th 1848.
