The Bells of Harkness Hall

The clock tower of Harkness Hall is home to a clarionne of 9 bells. A generous gift in 1954 by benefactor, Anna A. Haas, was used to purchase the Memorial Clock and Bell chimes for the building tower. The main bell weighs 1,400 lbs. and the small bell weighs 200 lbs. The sound of the bells ringing throughout the CAU campus and the surrounding community has always created a feeling of hope, nostalgia and pride.
