A shot of one of Canada’s first football teams featuring their Scottish player-manager, David Forsyth. Seated on the left, Forsyth is widely recognised as the "Father of Canadian Soccer" and founded the Western Football Association. He brought his team to Scotland on a UK-tour in 1888. The travelling Canadians drew with Rangers, were beaten by Queen’s Park, Ayr and a Scotland Select and recorded a win over Hearts.
