The Buddhist deity Naro Dakini

Na-ro mkhah-spyod-ma is a deity especially venerated by the Sakya sect of Tibetan Buddhism. She stands in her characteristic pose upon a lotus throne, stepping on two figures and balancing a staff on her shoulder. Her uplifted left hand should have carried a skull cup and her right hand a curved knife. Stone images of this deity are rare. The carving is reminiscent of Pala sculptures of northeastern India of the 8th - 12th centruries.
