The portray of the Carthusian monk Fercoldo is oil painted on the first door overlooking the Michelangiolesque Cloister; Fercoldo, father of Pope Clement IV, had taken the vows at the death of his wife; he died in 1210.
The painting is signed by Filippo Balbi who made it in 1855.
