The Case of the Headbands

In the case of headbands, San community forms patterns with different coloured ostrich eggshell beads, or a mixture of different kinds of beads and other products are used, such as pieces of porcupine quills, small wooden beads, and seeds. Sometimes, broken pieces of eggshells are used inside cocoons that serve as dance rattles.
