The Cenotaph itself was designed by Sir Edwin Landseer Lutyens and was built in 1919-1920. This photograph was commissioned by the Rotary Club of London, who had presented the large wreath in the shape of the Rotary Club logo on Sunday, the 19th of June, three days before this photograph was taken.
