The White room (Great receptions Hall) was made at the initiative of Queen Mary. It was obtained from merging two smaller rooms. The work was entrusted to the architect Grigore Cerchez. He chose the Brancoveanu style with traditional decorations from Romania and Moldova. The original marble table, was used in the past for Queen s Mary silver ships collection. The Cerchez Room is the most important area in terms of history. Here took place the Royal Council - August 1916 (Romania signed the entry into World War One), ratified by King Ferdinand.
