The Church Of Santa Maria Del Carmelo

The church was built in the fourteenth century after the arrival of the Carmelites in the city. The building is one of the few monuments that survived the 1693 earthquake and maintains Gothic features particularly used during the Chiaramonte rule of law in Modica.
