Olu Ajayi was born in 1963 and graduated from Auchi Polytechnic in 1984. He is a pioneer in Nigerian watercolors and has contributed significantly to the local art scene as the former President of the Lagos Chapter of the Society of Nigerian Artists. He has exhibited his work in Nigeria, Africa, and Europe, and has served as a consultant for various international art platforms.

In this expressive portrait, Ajayi captures the humanity of urban life through dynamic brushstrokes. The man’s face, rendered with vivid colors, expresses a sense of identity and resilience, reflective of the artist’s deep connection to the vibrant life of city dwellers.
