This piece was created collaboratively during a live BALTIC Foundation Club session with young artists Alasdair, Eilidh and Kika, working alongside artists Zoe Murtagh and Laura Stutter Garcia.
The Colour of the Future came out of an exercise to generate a design brief for other group works created by Foundation Club, thinking about how we want our words to be presented and received, with each participant contributing their thoughts. We felt this stood alone as a piece in itself and reads like a manifesto or poem, much like those we have looked at in the sessions.
This piece was made at BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art as part of Arts Council England's The Way I See It project which captures the impact of the Coronavirus pandemic on the lives of children and young people, articulated in their own voices, through their own creativity.
BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art, Gateshead creates and produce exhibitions, events and learning opportunities that explore the role of art and artists, and the world around us.
