The 61st National Exhibition of Art, 2015
2nd Prize, Silver Medal Award in Painting
There are beliefs about ancestor ghost and afterlife among my family. We believe in communicating between human and spirits, which is also a beliefs of Lan-na people. Therefore, this beliefs lead to ancestor ghost worship in my family that shows a deep relationship of people in two different worlds. I used a simple method, hand sewing that represents femininity. The photos of ancestors that believed to be a place for the soul are covered by fabric and display as a shrine.
