The Council House

The composition presents a daily scene from Brașov from the first half of the 20th century. The imposing building is rendered against the expressive background of the clouds, and the presence of people rather accentuates the effect that the architecture has in the urban landscape. The characters are rendered with simplicity, the work marking a fragment of life.
