The scroll reads: "This province was assigned from the ancient father Noa to his nephew Tira together with Arcadio and Ematio, later it was dominated by Illirio, from which it derived its name Illiria and it kept it for a long time, until the Schiavoni, people from the north, occupied said land and called it Schiavonia, and then a part to the Hungarian. But today part of the land is under the Great Prince of the Turks, part is under the Venetian Senate and part under the Archduke from Austria. It is fertile and rich in pastures and mines, from which resources and from the presence of the sea the inhabitants take great advantage." Photo: Rabatti & Domingie
