The Druzhba Project looks into ideas of locality, space and shared conditions of occupation in different geographical places during the Cold War including archive material. It interlinks various narrative threads about the Druzhba pipeline, investigating the ambiguous area of exchange between economics and culture. The project forms a circumscribed theory for charting the psychogeography of an imperial (Russian) infrastructure, studying the flows and energies produced through disintegrating infrastructure of power and linking it to personal anxiety and the idea of friendship.
