The East Rill channel, like the rest of the Formal Garden, has been continually reviewed using Gertrude Jekyll’s planting plans. Embellished with water forget-me-nots and yellow musk, iris and arums its straight lines, relieved by Lutyens’s stone edged whirlpools, continue to delight garden visitors.
