Tola Wewe, born in 1959 in Ondo State, Nigeria, graduated from the University of Ife in 1983 with a degree in Fine Art and later obtained a Master's degree in African Visual Arts from the University of Ibadan. His work is widely acclaimed for its surface textures, abstract forms, and mastery of color.
