The Eleanor Cross, London Road, Hardingstone, Northamptonshire

This standing stone cross was erected at the end of the 13th century in memory of Eleanor of Castile, wife of Edward I. She died on 28 November 1290 and this cross commemorates the resting of her body at Delapre Abbey on its way to Westminster.
