The enclosed front garden of Anchers Hus

The front garden of Anchers Hus must be one of the most painted front gardens. The small space was the scene for Peder Severin Krøyer's Hip, Hip, Hurrah! Artists' Party, Skagen (1888) and its residents, Anna Ancher and Michael Ancher painted numerous paintings from it. Today, the front garden is still home to plants and garden furniture that were there, when the Ancher family lived in Anchers Hus.
