This commemorative bison statue, from the collection of Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park, was created for the centennial of Billings, Montana by artist and sculptor Mike Capser. Capser, a Montana native, frequently depicts western scenes and wildlife in his work. The sculpture is finished with a brown patina and mounted onto a base of black walnut.
