Attendees of the 2013 Anzac Day Dawn Service observe the Eternal Flame, a symbol of perpetual life installed at the foot of George Allen's cenotaph commemorating the sacrifice of Victorians who died during the Second World War. The eternal flame was lit by the Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in 1954.
