The exit of the Viceroy Amar and his wife of the Palace

After the events of the 20th of July in 1810 in the city of Santafé, the Viceroy Amar y Borbón was overthrowned from his charge and was named president of the Governing Board. However, due to some rumour of a possible counterattack against the creoles, the 25 of July Amar y Borbón was forced to leave the New Granade with his wife Francisca Villanova.
