NASA Flight Engineer Karen Nyberg (left), Russian cosmonaut Fyodor Yurchikhin (center) and Luca Parmitano of the European Space Agency (right) are the backups for NASA’s Tom Marshburn, Soyuz Commander Roman Romanenko and Chris Hadfield of the Canadian Space Agency, who will launch to the International Space Station Dec. 19 in their Soyuz TMA-07M spacecraft from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.
