Georg Trautmann was a painter and graphic artist. He studied in Wrocław, Berlin, Dresden and Frankfurt am Main. He was associated in many artistic organizations. His graphics were used as covers of magazines and books. He was interested in portrait and landscape painting. His landscapes often hung in mountain huts. The artist liked to work on outdoor trips, which he traveled to in the Karkonosze Mountains. The presented painting was probably created during such a trip. The landscape shows a view of a mountain path running through a clearing with a mountain range in the background. The artist with particular sensitivity gave the warm, golden light illuminating the stage.
