The Graces are the goddesses of charm, grace and beauty. They are the daughters of Zeus and Eurynome. There are three Graces: Aglaia (Splendour), Euphrosyne (Mirth) and Thalìa (Prosperity). In particular, Thalia was always followed by the Naiads, the water-nymphs of rivers and sources, propitiators of fertility and growth. The Graces were the Muses’, Apollo’s (god of orderly beauty) and Dionysus’ (god of uncontrolled passion) friends. Their cult was born in Boeotia and then spread throughout Greece.
