Hand stencil is the images that modern human (homo sapiens) made in the earlier time since thousand years ago. It depicted on single image, double, triple or in a group which was ubiquitous phenomena in rock art. Some researcher explain that hand stencils are part of the coming of age rites, or the existing some group of people or clan, or sign of rejecting reinforcements, or ownership of the cave. Hand stencils not dominated by adult person, it also made by children or even the baby.

Sumpang Bita Cave has the representation of the hand stencils from the young to adult and also the connection of human-animal relation that shown the hand stencils near the animal images such as pig and anoa, or a mythical images such as a turtle with hand stencils on their feet.
