London, United Kingdom

Chiswick House and its grounds were formed in the mid 17th century. Following Grand Tours in 1714 and 1719, and the purchase of an adjacent estate, the Earl of Burlington built a new Palladian villa and redesigned the gardens.

The extant brick ha-ha was built in the 18th century and separates the lawn and the Italian Garden to the north of the villa.
