The Hajduk Veljko Museum is located in the city center in a house that with its specific appearance represents a unique example of the old city architecture in Serbia of the 19th century. Because of its unique architecture, the house was officially included in the list of immovable cultural goods of great importance on the territory of the Republic by the 1979 Serbian Assembly. The house was erected by the branch of the Negotin region - Todorče, with a kuluk, and as the most accurate construction time it is considered as the middle of the 19th century. Since 1997, the Hajduk Veljka Museum has been opened in the house of duke Todorče, with a permanent exhibition dedicated to the legendary hero and the First Serbian Uprising.
