“the Hand writing series” features painted black silhouettes on cardboards. The silhouettes are re-presentations of various kiosk and ‘container’ structures found littered in the Ghanaian urban space. They have different utility and possesses curious narratives of trade relations and histories of the Ghanaian urban space. It is a chronicle of economic activities of individuals and communities. The silhouettes employed have the spiritual character to re-present and transpose the structures into different realms of scrutinization, realms of socio-economic characters.
“Hand writing” scrutinizes how socio-economic(global and state) policies creates apparatuses for the Ghanaian urban populace.
