The Hellingly Tapestry' is a collaborative wall mural created for the Twitten, a cafe, shop and social area. The painting borrows imagery from the Bayeux Tapestry, which famously recounts the Battle of Hastings in 1066 and took place very close to the Hellingly Centre. In Tim’s piece, instead of depicting scenes of conquest, he invited residents to tell their own stories through a series of narrative paintings.
