The Hepworth Wakefield 5th Birthday Party

On Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 May 2016, The Hepworth Wakefield hosted 5 parties to celebrate each year of opening, and provided a broad but targeted, range of programming across audiences. These parties included: “Baby Rave”  with Chikka Boom; A curated programme of performances,“Rhythm and Dance and Everything”, featuring Opera North, Northern Ballet,Wakefield Community Gospel Choir, Yorkshire Dance and Edges Ensemble; A tasteof Long Division Festival, “Long Division Presents”, which was held at The Calder with the support of the Backstage Academy, and featured Her Name is Cella, Sam Airey, Napoleon IIIrd, Juffage & Jack Winn. The final party featured performances by 60-piece Phoenix Concert Band and Swing Dance Leeds in addition to an Afternoon Tea ran by CGC.
