The historic Plobenhof near the Main Market Square

The property known as the "Plobenhof" belonged originally to the Gross family, an important patrician clan. But the structure shown in the painting was built during the 15th and 16th centuries by the von Plobens, who gave the building its name. It was destroyed in 1945.
