The entire south wall of the Library is destinated to the representation of Florentine Humanists, Historians, Jurists and Orators. The painting was carried out by Matteo Rosselli in 1637. The large intellectuals line-up is placed in loggia open to Piazza della Signoria of whom we can see Palazzo Vecchio, the Uffizi and the Lanzi’s Loggia. Between the illustrious characters portrayed we can find Lorenzo il Magnifico and Niccolò Machiavelli.
