Harewood House was built between 1759 and 1771. The central part of the house was designed by John Carr and extensions and wings by Robert Adam. The interiors were created between 1765 and 1777 by Robert Adam.
The Italianate terraced garden lies to the south side of Harewood House. It was created between 1844 and 1851 to designs by Charles Barry.
