The Emir arrives at venue of the Durbar festival. During the Durbar festival in Northern Nigeria, horsemen clad in colorful robes, indigo turbans, ostrich feathers and glistening swords honor their Emir who enters the parade shielded from the sun by a massive twirling parasol. Kano’s Hawan Daushe is the best and well organised horse riding in the traditional history of Kano where horse riders rode horses from Kofar Kwaru to their final destination at Kofar Kudu, a place where the Emir and his visitors are received with applauds and greetings from the people.
