The 1856 L.P. Grant Mansion, photographed around 1900. The Grant Mansion originally stood three stories. However, by 2000, when the Atlanta Preservation Center purchased the Mansion, the historic building had suffered decades of neglect, fire and other damage. Only the first floor remained.
