This oblique aerial photograph shows the centre of Port Sunlight, the model village on the Wirral, which was developed from 1888 for the workers at the Lever Brothers soap factory. In the foreground is the Lady Lever Art Gallery, built between 1914 and 1922 to house the art collection of William Hesketh Lever (1851-1925).
