The largest advertisement in General Electric history is discussed here by W. V. O'Brien (seated), GE commercial vice president and general manager of apparatus sales, who sponsored it; and J. Stanford Smith, manger of the company's apparatus Advertisement and Sales Promotion Department, under whose direction it was prepared. Spread out before them is a proof of the unprecedented 16 page, full colored insert which will run in the fortune, business week, and the GE review. The ad, part of the Company's 75th anniversary promotion is made up of 64 quarter page panels, each telling of a significant "first" that GE has brought to American business and industry over the years
