The Leningrad Siege

Out of the Box Productions in association with teh Tron Theatre, Glasgow presented the English Language debut of Jose Sanchis Sinisterra's The Leningrad Siege. Wilton's was the final stop of the tour and provided an apprpriate setting for the plot: a surreal tale of two women: Natalia and Priscilla are the mistress and widow of Nestor, a theatre director who died in mysterious circumstances whilst rehearsing The Leningrad Siege. For over twenty years they have been living in the old abandoned Phantom Playhouse, now threatened with demolition to make room for a giant underground car park. Desperately trying to make sense of their past, these extraordinarily eccentric women are relentless, searching for the lost manuscript...
