It was probably purely by chance that Wilhelmina and Walther found a pendant that is very similar to the other parts of the garniture when visiting the jeweller C. Prost in Vevey, Switzerland. They bought it and gave it to Johanna at Christmas 1866.
The locket can be opened and they had inserted their photographic portraits inside. Just as with the brooch and earrings, the locket was a contemporary work from Paris.
