The salon of an appartment from Magstræde in Copenhagen, belonging to a well-to-do-bourgoise family in the mid-1700s. The chest of drawers was made by the leading cabinetmaker Matthias Ortmann and the faience vase is from the St. Kongensgade factoty. The house was bulit by one of Copenhagens most succesful joiners, Diderich Schäffer, who became a court joiner around 1740.
