After gajah mada’s demise, problems began to arise within the administration of King Hayam Wuruk. The new government strived to maintain the unity of the Kingdom by directing their effort towards improving the welfare of the people and in increasing the security of the region. This was realized by strengthening The Majapahit Armada in order to secure the unity of The Nusantara (Indonesian Archipelago) and to resist the hostile actions of the chinese fleet.
