The Math

The door was carried out by Benedetto Calenzuoli to a design by Pietro da Cortona. On these doors we find represented the allegory of the Math: on the left a woman with long braids, wings to the temples and a sphere on her hand; on the right, another frontal figure of woman with the same pendant braids, in one hand she hold a scroll and in the other a compass.
