The Middle Drawbridge, Tower of London

Yeoman Warders stand by the Middle Drawbridge. The drawbridge was originally added to the Tower of London in 1834 to facilitate bringing munitions to the White Tower. During the years, the bridge has undergone numerous modifications, including being permanently fixed in place in 1978. In 2014, a new fully working drawbridge was unveiled.
